fyi

So, you may be wondering what I'm doing with my glorious self these days. Well, I'll tell you.

I have decided that dentistry is not for me, and I'm looking at the grad school route as a better option for my liking.

Meantime, instead of graduating in May, like I was supposed to, with a degree in Biology and 2 minors, Spanish & Chemistry, I decided to take yet more classes. (!?)

I am taking Endocrinology and the last of my Spanish classes, to give me a double major in Bio and Spanish, still with a minor in Chemistry. (I almost considered even triple majoring and finishing out my chemistry requirements...but then I realized there's a point when things start to get ridiculous & people begin wonder...)

I'm still madly in love with the boyfriend, but if things don't go as planned, I may run away to Spain again and attend a grad school there for physiology!...kidding, kidding. OK, actually, not really.

Speaking of Spain, I ate squid and mussels for dinner last night, and it was deeeeelish and reminded me of paella. Oh how I yearn for Spanish cuisine...

That's all.

pretty appreciation moment

I don't know if you're like me, but when I admire clever creations
another has come up with, I think to myself, "I should totally just make that..." and then I rarely do.
I just came across this lil site and my first reaction was, "*gasp* How adorable, I should order five of these!" But then I thought, "...wait, I should just make these myself!..."

I might actually follow through too, these are so fun!

Dixie... I wish you were here, we haven't done a crafty project together in years!

Not having fun anymore...

OK not really, I'm fine...but seriously look at this room!
Clint came home from our vacay to find this:

Obviously, his ceiling came crashing down. Thank goodness, he wasn't in bed when it happened cause, I'm pretty sure he might have died. I'm not being dramatic, the ceiling was made of plaster from like the 1930's and it was HEAVY. All the plaster and boards were moved before I took this picture. This brown stuff is insulation?

We cleaned it up and got some fixer upper dudes to come and build a new ceiling last week. They kind of made a mess of the upper part of the walls, so we decided to just repaint his whole room. So currently, that is what I'm doing. Clint is at school and I'm painting. Well, not at this very moment, I'm taking a break....

No such thing as too much fun

I've been quite the busy, busy girl these past few weeks. Here's a list of my goings on:

Helping Clint purge his closet of awesomely out of fashion attire (but not before trying them on one last time),

Flying to Utah & meeting the parents,

Being lil tourists in Utah

including taking a lil vis to the SLC temple,

asking strangers to take our picture,

laughing at the silly animals who reside in the Hogle zoo,

meeting up with my Utah Jennifer, and going on a hike in the Wasatch mountains, (love you Jen!)

Doing plenty of posing for the camera,

Engaging in a lil friendly competition,

making my Virginia Jen proud,

momentarily looking like I know what I'm doing,

healing the soul via boat in Lake Powell,

pretending to be a photographer (thanks Will! [Clint's brother in-law]),

marveling at God's creative designs, and pondering on how heaven will compare,

sacrificing my body for a moment of joy,

making new friends, (Amy, you're awesome),

looking totally boss behind a boat after learning how to surf,

exploring with this cutie patootie,

loving on this lil guy,

and admiring his endless cool factor.

And lastly meeting my new nephew, Kolden. He's precious.

I'm taking the red eye back to VA tomorrow night. I've had gobs of fun, but I'm ready to be back "home" and in my own bed. Oh sigh.
